WHAT IS OWN ART ?
Brownston Gallery offers the Own Art scheme as an affordable way to purchase your artwork.
Own Art breaks the payment of an artwork down into 10 interest free monthly payments.
Own Art reduces the financial barriers and perceptions of elitism that commonly exist within the art market, by making it easier and more affordable for peiople to purchase and enjoy original art and craft , regardless of their income and socio-ecomnoic background/
Payment with Own Art can be accessed via email or in person in the gallery.
WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY
Own Art is available to all UK residence over the age of 18, subject to status. This means you must be able to meet one of the following criteria in order to be approved for a loan:
- Working at least 16 hours ( employed or self employed)
- A retired person in receipt of a pension
- If you are not working but are married or living with a partner who does meet the above criteria, then ypu may still apply, provided that your partner is happy for their employment details to be included on your application.
If you apply to collect your Own Art order when it is ready, then you 'll need to be prepared with the following to show the gallery:
- The email confirmation of your order, goods dispatched or collection email.
- A valid form of photographic identification ( driving liscence or passport) in the smae name as the order collected.
- The payment card which the deposit was taken that must be in your name.
- Proof of your UK residence.
