exhibition of work by master marine artist Anthony Amos.

This exhibition features previously unseen work by Anthony Amos.  His wonderful paintings bring to life scenes from the past, recording the hardship of human endeavour,  of men and horses working together pulling lifeboats, of women helping to bring in the day's catch, of majestic hulls rusting in dry dock, of great sailing ships giving way to the new age of steam.  His paintings are raw and powerful, yet never fail to capture the imagination, evoking memories particularly of our strong maritime heritage.
