Jo Dixon British

Jo Dixon trained at Hammersmith College of Art then worked as an art teacher in London before moving to Devon where she maintains her studio today. Listed in 'The dictionary of Artists in Britain since 1945' by David Buckman, Jo has exhibited widely throughout the UK. She is an elected member of the Society of Women Artists and has won numerous awards including The Barbara Tate Award and The Derwent Award, both presented at The society of Women Artist Exhibition at the Mall Galleries, London.

 

Mainly a figurative artists with a keen interest in drawing, she works mostly in oils and charcoal and her travels through India, North Africa and the Far East have inspired much of her art.
